About Us
Travis Peak Church of Christ seeks to serve others in love through living out God’s word. We believe that the Bible is a perfect compass to orient our lives. By living out God’s word, we can truly honor those around us.
We meet Sunday mornings at 11 am for worship and 10 am for Bible study. Wednesdays we have a mid-week Bible study at 7 pm. Come on out on a Sunday or Wednesday!
Our History
Travis Peak Church of Christ goes back more than one hundred years. The area was settled during the 1800s starting with James Davidson in 1856, Waller Singleton in 1879 and Mason Singleton in the 1880s. Mason Singleton was involved in starting the Post Oak Bend Church of Christ which was later renamed Travis Peak Church of Christ. A tree arbor served as their first meeting place before moving to the stone school house now located in Hensel Camp around 1900. In 1970 the church built its current building at the corner of RR 1431 and Singleton Bend Road about 6 miles west of Lago Vista. In the early 1990s the fellowship hall was added. Both areas were renovated in 2020.
