The rules for each event will be available at the meeting for your convenience. If you are unable to make the meeting and would like to coordinate an event please let Terri know ahead of time by text. We will also use this meeting to decide a start date and time for practices.

Remember the convention is early this year, March 30 – April 1, 2018.

Participants, if you are planning to do L.T.C. this year please fill out the registration form and make your choices of events. Please return the form by Wednesday, November 15th, to Terri or send her a text with your event selections. She will be preparing the event rules for everyone to take home on Sunday, November 19th.

Sunday evenings at 6 pm youth from grades 3 – 12 meet to study/prepare for the LTC convention in Dallas, March 30 – April 1, 2018. This year’s theme is “King of my Heart” and the Bible study is on 1 Samuel. The group participates in Bible bowl, Bible quiz, chorus, art, drama, signing for the deaf, song leading, puppets as well as other events and service projects.  For more information about the program visit NTLTC.org (North Texas Leadership Training for Christ).

It was amazing last Sunday to watch them perform their puppet show, drama, speeches, singing, and signing that they presented at the L.T.C. Convention. Our youth received 90 total medals: 56 gold, 9 silver and 25 bronze. A special THANK YOU to all of the volunteers so willing to give of their time to mentor these children.

It’s very important that we leave on schedule. We have one signing event and judges that have to report in early for their events. Please eat breakfast or bring a snack with you. The group will stop in Hillsboro for an early lunch at Braums. Everyone is encouraged to bring breakfast food, snacks and drinks from home to be eaten in your room. There will be drinks and snacks provided at our group table for all to enjoy at will on Saturday.

What to bring:

  • a sack lunch and drink for your dinner on Friday evening (to be eaten in your room or at the group table as your schedule allows on Friday)
  • breakfast foods, snacks, drinks (water) for your room (do not drink the bottled water if it is provided for you in your room by the hotel as you will be charged for the expense)
  • appropriate clothing should you be chosen to be a part of the Sunday morning worship
  • any special medicine you may need

The van will be returning from Dallas after lunch Sunday, April 16, and should arrive at the building shortly before evening services at 6:00 PM.
