Online Sermon on Zoom This Sunday! (And the Following)

Hello there!

This Sunday morning at 11AM, Travis Peak Church of Christ will be having a 30-40 minute service on Zoom.

What is Zoom?

Zoom is an interactive video streaming service that we will use to broadcast communion and a short sermon this Sunday live over the internet.

The Fool-Proof Way to This Guide

This video fully covers the steps of this how-to guide.

Following the steps below are much more simplistic than following the steps outlined here, but this tutorial needed to be exhaustive.

Please view this video before reading the rest of this guide.

How do I get Zoom?

For Mac and PC Users

Go to https://zoom.us/support/download or click here. The download should start automatically. After a second, look in your downloads folder on your computer and click on a file entitled “Zoom.pkg” for Mac users or “Zoom.exe” for Windows users. Follow the directions to install, and open the application.

For Tablet or Phone: Apple or Android Users

Go to the Apple store if you have an iPhone or iPad or the Google Play Store if you have an Android. Search for Zoom in the search bar. Zoom’s icon looks like this:

You may go to https://zoom.us/support/download or click here on your device and click on Apple store or Google Play store.

How do I Use Zoom?

For the purpose of the service, wait until a Zoom invite link is emailed to you. When 11AM Sunday comes, click on the link and Zoom will open automatically into the sermon. If you are on a computer, you may have a box pop up asking you if you want to use zoom.us. Click continue, OK, or yes.

Please be dressed as usual for the Zoom service – at least something you wouldn’t be embarrassed to be seen in. You will have the option to enter the Zoom room, or sermon, with your camera and mic off. Please do so. The following instructions will show you how.
